This Pencil Box course shows you how to make this lidded box design from scratch with minimal tools. This project is ideal for beginners and is a great introduction to box making from a bookbinder.

Our pot luck kit includes all the materials to make two boxes. The patterned paper is random, so you’ll be sent some lovely Japanese paper and matching book cloth. We only buy small batch materials that are often end of line. Message us to ask for something in particular and I’ll do my best to come up with something to help your project shine!
It does not include bookbinding tools, so don’t forget to add our starter bookbinding tool kit to your shopping basket. We also have box making glue sets available for purchase.
